Yamaha R1 Engine

The Yamaha R1 motorcyle introduced in 1998 as undergone a series of updates and modifications in its relatively long production run, we have highlighted some of the more significnt engine changes.

in 1998 performance figures showed 0-60 time of 2.96 seconds and standing quarter time of 10.19 seconds @ 131.40mph with a top speed of 168mph.
